The inaugural meeting of the Research Council and Founding Board of the Damari Community Ophthalmology Research Center was held virtually on Wednesday, August 13, 2025.

The session opened with appreciation for the collaborative efforts that led to the center’s official approval. The agenda covered the use of institutional affiliation in scientific publications, a proposal to appoint four colleagues as adjunct members, recent updates and participation calls, preparations for the official inauguration ceremony, and brainstorming of potential community-based ophthalmology projects with non-governmental support.
